Manama qualified for the King Cup semi-finals after defeating Sitra 5-4 on penalties in the last-eight clash yesterday.
The game went to a penalty shootout after the teams were tied 1-1 after 90 minutes and no goals were scored in extra time.
A header from Mahdi Abduljabbar put Manama ahead in the 53rd minute and they maintained the lead until the final minutes of the match. However, Sitra managed to score the equaliser in additional time through Yaqoub Diarra.
In the semi-final, Manama will face Al Hala, who defeated Al Hidd 4-2 in another penalty shootout last night. The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of extra time.
All eyes will be on Khalifa Sports City Stadium tonight when Riffa take on Muharraq in their quarter-final clash, kicking off at 8pm.
Riffa qualified for the quarter-finals after easing past Al Ettifaq 3-0 in the round of 16 while Muharraq defeated Busaiteen 2-0.
In the other quarter-final clash today, Al Najma face Al Ahli at 4.30pm.
Al Najma moved past Budaiya 3-1 on penalties in the round of 16 while Al Ahli outclassed Al Shabab 4-0.
