“Welcoming members of the Asian Cricket Council is an important step for the development of cricket in Bahrain, as per the vision of Shaikh Khalid. All of us at KHK Sports are looking forward to a bright future for cricket in Bahrain,” said Shahid.
“This meeting of the Asian Cricket Council in Bahrain will raise the profile of the game in the kingdom and is a huge step towards bringing sports tourism to Bahrain in line with the vision of Shaikh Khalid. We were proud to showcase some of the best parts of the sporting history of Bahrain to ACC members as we took them on a tour of the Awali Cricket ground, one of the oldest cricket grounds in Bahrain, where some of them even played a couple of overs. We also organised a visit to the Bahrain International Circuit,” said Bahrain Cricket Federation’s advisory board chairman Mohammad Mansoor.
At the meeting, ACC members discussed various issues regarding the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. The board agreed to continue discussions on operations, timelines, and other specifics to ensure the success of the tournament.
