Al Kerlawi FC defeated MJD Salcete United 2-0 in the final to claim the fifth Kerala Super League football tournament title.
Two goals by the tournament’s top scorer, Shuaib, in the first half helped Al Kerlawi continue their unbeaten run in the tournament, which saw them score a total of 13 goals.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, Al Kerlawi defeated KMCC FC while MJD humbled Al Minar FC 3-0.
Meanwhile, in the BFC Pay amateur category, Trojan FC beat Soccer FC to clinch their first ever KSL title.
Vipin of Al Kerlawi won the Golden Ball while Rashid, also of Al Kerlawi, was named the Best Defender and Regan of MJD claimed the Haris Memorial Golden Glove award.
Middle East Hospital marketing manager Prasad handed over the trophy to Al Kerlawi while Haspex MD Aster Antony honoured Trojan FC.
A total of 28 teams took part in the tournament, held over 40 days.
