A Ramadan campaign to distribute three million meals and food parcels to disadvantaged individuals and families in the UAE and abroad, has been launched by non-profit organisation, UAE Food Bank.
The initiative comes under the directives of Shaikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, Dubai Ruler and UAE Food Bank Board of Trustees Chairperson.
The organisation has also planned other initiatives in addition to the distribution, including those aimed at managing food surplus, reducing wastage, and providing sustenance to those in need both within and outside the UAE.
