Oman's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced that it is expecting heavy rainfall and thunderstorms today (March 27) and tomorrow (March 28).
“Heavy rains, thunderstorms expected over governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi and Al Dhahira which may range between 30 mm to 80 mm (within 24 hours), and will extend gradually during the afternoon and evening over governorates of South Al Batinah, Al Dakhylia, Muscat, South Al Sharqiya an North Al Sharqiya and later at night over governorates of Al Wusta and Dhofar,” it said in a statement.
The authority also issued a warning and asked citizens and residents to refrain from crossing valleys, visiting low places and going to the sea until the end of the warning period.
