Oman's population has officially reached more than five million, as of the first half of 2023, the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) announced.
The population reached 5,079,514, of which 57 per cent are citizens, accounting for 2,895,547.
This means that expatriates constitute 43 per cent of the population, at a total of 2,183,967, it said.
