This feature aims to ensure that notifications issued by the relevant official authorities reach the public during emergencies, enabling individuals to take appropriate action in a timely manner and supporting efforts to safeguard lives and property.
The iGA emphasised that the alerts and sirens featured on the MyGov app serve as an effective digital channel during emergencies to boost individual readiness and raise community awareness.
The feature complements an integrated system for sending messages and alerts through multiple communication channels, helping ensure that official information and instructions reach the widest possible audience and improve community response in all situations, it added.
