Udinese have appointed Gabriele Cioffi as their new manager to replace Andrea Sottil, the Serie A club announced yesterday. The club parted ways with Sottil on Tuesday after a winless start to the season left Udinese third from bottom in the standings after nine games. Cioffi returns to the club having previously managed Udinese during the 2021-22 campaign. Last season he was manager at Hellas Verona but was sacked after the opening nine league games.
