ENDURANCE – The Royal Endurance Team enjoyed incredible results yesterday in the Royal Windsor Endurance event in the UK, clinching first place in the 160km, 120km, and 100km races.
Riders from around the world participated in the rides, held at Windsor Great Park, and the kingdom’s competitors stood out in a class of their own.
On the sidelines of the races, His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Royal Endurance Team captain Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa was present in a meeting between His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Britain’s King Charles.
In the races, the Royal Endurance Team was represented by riders from Victorious, Al Zaeem, and Al Ru’ood stables.
In the 160km event, Othman Abduljaleel Al Awadhi triumphed while Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa came second and Mohammed Abdul Samad third.
In the 120km race, Ahmed Khaled Al Thawadi was triumphant, while Raed Mahmoud came second and Hamad Issa Al Janahi third. Cecilia Garcia was the victor in the 100km race, completing the trio of triumphant Royal Endurance Team members.
