Joining Sadrudinov and Kostoev on the podium and sharing the bronze medals were Sagaipov and Dzhakhongir Madzhidov of Tajikistan.
With Sadrudinov’s victory, Bahrain Judo Federation president Faisal Khalid Kanoo attributed the achievement to the support of the government of Bahrain for the sports sector. He also commended the continuous backing of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for all sports disciplines, especially combat sports.
Kanoo also commended the continued oversight by GSA vice-chairman and Bahrain Combat Sports Council president Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, whose efforts have raised the standard of national sports federations and helped athletes achieve results that strengthen Bahrain’s position on the continental and international sports map.
