His Majesty King Hamad has commended the key role of the Bahrain Businesswomen Society (BBS) in supporting the national economy through its programmes to empower female entrepreneurs.
He highlighted the successes achieved by women in the economic and commercial sectors during a meeting yesterday with BBS chairwoman Dr Fatema Al Kooheji, who was accompanied by members of the society.
During the meeting at Safriya Palace, His Majesty highlighted the society’s participation in regional and international conferences and forums.
He noted that the valuable contributions of Bahraini women have advanced their role and reflected their competence across various domains.
The King also expressed appreciation for the society’s efforts to further develop economic and trade co-operation with relevant institutions in Bahrain and other countries.
The King expressed pride in the achievements of Bahraini women in national action, their active contributions to development and decision-making, and their efforts in political participation and in holding leading positions at local, regional, and international levels.
