POWERLIFING – Major Abdullah Abdulwahab Salmeen, a member of the Public Security Sports Association and a powerlifting player from the Ministry of Interior, won first place at the World Powerlifting Championship held in Thailand.
He secured first place in the bench press and squat events and was awarded the champion’s belt for taking first place in the deadlift competition.
Public Security Sports Association president Brigadier Khalid Abdulaziz Al Khayat, who commended Major Salmeen’s accomplishment, expressed his appreciation for the continued support of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, highlighting it as a key factor behind these sporting achievements.
He also commended the close follow-up by Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, with the ministry’s sports teams during local and international competitions.
