TWO teams from the Ministry of Interior’s pace stick division secured first and third place at the annual Inter-Company Pace Sticking Competition, organised by the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the UK.
The competition featured 21 teams from around the world.
Corporal Sayed Abulhassan Shirazi was awarded the best team leader prize.
Royal Police Academy commander Major-General Fawaz Al Hassan said that this achievement reflects the unwavering support of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
He emphasised the minister’s commitment to empowering and supporting the team, which has enabled them to represent the kingdom with distinction on the international stage and reinforce its presence across various fields.
He also commended the close follow-up of Public Security chief Lieutenant-General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, and his continued efforts to promote excellence and motivate performance across the ministry.
Major-General Al Hassan commended the dedication and discipline demonstrated by the team members, highlighting their high morale, teamwork, and full readiness throughout the competition.
He added that the Royal Police Academy will continue training its teams for participation in international forums as part of its academic and operational mandate.
