A GROUP of MPs has submitted a proposal calling for the expropriation of land allocated for a private university project in Howrat A’ali, arguing that the move was essential to safeguard one of Bahrain’s last remaining strategic agricultural areas and to enhance the kingdom’s food security.
The move calls for the university to be relocated to an alternative site, with compensation offered to the current landowner .
