Since its launch in June 2018, the Masam project has achieved a significant milestone by clearing 67,585,167 square meters and removing 500,000 explosives from Yemeni lands. These include anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices, indiscriminately planted to harm civilians.
Demining efforts have dramatically reduced casualties, allowing displaced people and farmers to return and resume cultivation, earning widespread praise from UN and international organisations for its unique specialisation and impactful results.
Beyond demining, KSrelief also initiated the Artificial Limbs centres project in several Yemeni cities, providing prosthetics and physical rehabilitation to those injured by explosives, aiming to restore hope and dignity. The Masam project stands as a vital contribution to enabling a safe and dignified life for Yemenis.
Overall, since its inception, KSrelief has implemented 3,438 diverse humanitarian projects across 107 countries, valued at over $7 billion, solidifying its global standing as a leading humanitarian organisation.
