MOTORSPORT – A Bahraini delegation participated in a training course held as part of the fifth round of Drift Masters in Riga, Latvia.
The series is highly regarded as the biggest drift championship in Europe, with alliances around the world and participants hailing from all continents.
The kingdom’s team at the event is comprised of members of the Autocross and Drift Commission, which is under the umbrella of the Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF), including commission chairman Abdulrahman Ghuloom, and Osama Albuflasa, Faraj Mabrouk, Alaa Frouten, and Ali Ajlan.
Their participation in the course comes with the aim of gaining organisational experience in international drift championships, which have become widely popular and sought-after by motorsport fans and enthusiasts worldwide.
It is also part of efforts to develop Bahraini officials in order to raise the level of national championships, which is achieved through direct interaction with international bodies and the acquisition of best practices in this field.
Ghuloom expressed thanks and appreciation to BMF president Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa and the BMF’s board of directors for their support for Bahraini motorsport and for drifting, in particular, and for facilitating their inclusion in the Drift Masters training course.
