CRICKET – THE Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) is hosting a prestigious International Cricket Council (ICC)-accredited level two coaching course in the kingdom.
This significant initiative aims to enhance cricket coaching standards across the region, aligning with the ICC’s global development objectives.
Forty qualified coaches from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Cambodia are participating in the intensive programme,which is scheduled to conclude today. It has been designed to equip them with advanced coaching techniques, player development strategies, and modern cricketing methodologies.
The course features an exceptional lineup of instructors, including ICC master educators and cricket legend and 1992 World Cup winner Iqbal Sikander.
He is joined by Prachur Shukla and ICC educator Mirza Azeem Ul Haque, all bringing extensive experience to mentor the next generation of cricket coaches.
The curriculum is meticulously crafted to meet rigorous ICC standards, focusing on practical and theoretical aspects of high-performance coaching.
The programme’s inauguration saw the presence of BCF chairman advisory board Mohammad Mansoor, president Sami Ali, ICC chief executives’ committee member Guru Murthy Palani, Yousif Lori, and other esteemed BCF board members.
Their attendance underscores the federation’s unwavering commitment to strengthening cricket infrastructure and expertise, not just within Bahrain but across the broader region.
This level two-certification initiative is a testament to the BCF’s dedication to creating a structured coaching pathway, ensuring that local and regional coaches meet and exceed international benchmarks.
