French falcon breeder Philippe Hertel, owner of Phil Falcons centre, announced that all falcons he showcased at the International Falcon Breeders Auction 2025 were sold within just five days of the auction’s launch.
The auction, organised by the Saudi Falcons Club in Malham, north of Riyadh, runs until August 25, with the participation of leading international and local farms.
Hertel indicated that this year’s sales were far better than in previous years, noting that he focused in this year’s edition of the auction on the quality of the falcons on offer rather than their quantity, which was reflected in both demand and results.
“I regularly participate in the auction, and each year we see significant improvements in organisation and increased participation. This is a testament to the dedicated efforts of the Saudi Falcons Club to enhance this heritage and encourage investment in the falconry sector,” the French falcon breeder said.
The International Falcon Breeders Auction runs for 21 days and brings together top falcon breeds from around the world in the largest event of its kind globally.
It has become an annual destination for falconers and breeders, reflecting the Kingdom’s efforts to preserve the historic heritage of falconry, support leading breeding farms, and strengthen its position as a global hub for falcons and falconers.
