There is no doubt that the issuance of Royal Decree-Law No (30) of 2025 by His Majesty King Hamad, amending certain provisions of the Traffic Law, represents a qualitative leap in traffic legislation and comes in response to an urgent social need.
It introduces stricter penalties for a number of serious violations – chief among them speeding and running red lights – along with other reckless behaviours that endanger lives and property, exposing road users to grave risks .
