Citizens and residents received a text message last night from the Interior Ministry as part of a test of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System.
It was conducted within the framework of the National Emergency Strategy, and no action was required from the public.
The ministry also urged citizens and residents to submit their suggestions and inquiries about the system to the General Directorate of Civil Defence through the National Suggestions and Complaints System ‘Tawasul’, or via the ‘Tawasul’ application available on the eGovernment App Store.
