RUGBY – BAHRAIN’S Second XV rugby team suffered a heavy 34-66 loss to the Uuds Tuskers RFC First XV yesterday in 2025-26 Men’s UAE Division One action.
The hosts trailed 15-21 at half-time at Bahrain Rugby Club in Saar, and managed to take a 27-21 lead following tries in quick succession from skipper Martin Prinsloo and Alexis Pavier, along with a Sam Withers conversion.
But the visitors roared back, scoring a whopping 40 unanswered points to power ahead 61-27 – completely shifting the momentum of the game en route to securing their big win.
With the result, Bahrain’s Second XV had their impressive five-game winning streak snapped following only their second defeat in their penultimate fixture of the league’s preliminary round.
They have one more game ahead of the Men’s UAE Division One semi-finals. It will be against the Dubai Dragons Second XV away on March 7 in the UAE.
The Tuskers, meanwhile, maintained their unbeaten record with their seventh win.
