Preparations have begun to complete the necessary arrangements for the Isa Award for Service to Humanity, following directives from His Majesty King Hamad’s Special Representative and Award’s Board of Trustees chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.
A field research team has been formed to gather information on the shortlisted nominees identified by the international jury, in accordance with the award’s regulations.
The jury, chaired by Professor Jan Paulsson, held several meetings to review the work of 55 eligible candidates selected from a total of 70 nominees from across the world.
After extensive deliberations, the jury produced a shortlist of five potential winners from different countries, which was submitted to the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees will select the winner of the sixth session (2024–2025) in light of the findings from the forthcoming field visits.
The winner will then be announced, and preparations will commence for the grand royal ceremony to be held under the patronage of the King, in commemoration of the life and legacy of the late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
