MOTORSPORT – BAHRAINI-BRITISH motor racing team 2 Seas Motorsport have confirmed their participation in the 2026 season of the British GT Championship.
The series’ reigning GT3 Teams’ title holders are returning with their #18 Mercedes-AMG GT3 contender, to be driven by British GT3 veteran and race winner Kevin Tse from Hong Kong, who will be teaming up this campaign with British professional Ben Green, who is the new face on the team.
2 Seas are co-owned by Bahrain’s Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and their British GT foray adds to their title bid in the GT World Challenge Europe, making for an exciting 2026 season in two of the continent’s leading GT series.
“It’s great to be back in British GT with a clear focus on defending our title,” said Shaikh Isa.
“2025 was a landmark year for the team, with Kevin delivering standout performances throughout the season. He’s not only shown that he’s talented in the car, but he’s also one of the nicest guys in the paddock, so we’re delighted to have him back.
“We’re also pleased to welcome Ben, who has proven himself at the top level across Europe in recent years. It’ll be exciting to see what he and Kevin can achieve together.
“2026 is shaping up to be another big season.”
The 2 Seas contender in the series is a new-look, Contempo Concept-backed Mercedes-AMG. They will be rolling out on track for the first British GT action at the season’s official test and media day activities on March 31 at Silverstone Circuit. The season then gets underway with the first round, the blue riband headline Silverstone 500 event, taking place April 25 and 26.
“It is great to be back,” expressed Tse. “I am more determined than ever, and we will do our very best to uphold the honour for the team after such a strong year.
“I had some real high points during the last season, but it is all about consistency, which will be my main focus this year.
“I am excited to be joined by Ben for the season, who has shown he has some real pace across various championships, and it feels like going home.
“Being back with the 2 Seas Motorsport crew and back in British GT. Really looking forward to seeing what we can do, and can’t wait to kick things off at Silverstone.”
2 Seas enjoyed a stellar 2025 campaign, winning the GT3 Drivers’ and GT3 Pro Am Drivers’ titles to go along with their team success.
Across the nine rounds, the team brought home five race wins and five further podiums, while starting from pole position five times.
Tse accumulated an impressive haul of important championship points throughout the year, claiming his maiden pole position in the series, as well as two race victories – during the season’s double-header events in Oulton Park and Snetterton – as well as a pair of runner-up finishes and a further pair of top three classifications.
The season ended with Tse claiming his best-ever championship finish, taking a hard-fought third place, while remaining in the title hunt until the final event.
Green, meanwhile, will be competing for a fourth season in the British GT. He competed in the series’ GT4 category in 2018 and 2020, and in GT3 in 2019.
He has since competed and won titles in GT series elsewhere across Europe.
“I’m very excited to be partnering up with Kevin for 2026 in the 2 Seas Mercedes-AMG GT3,” said Green.
“Kevin has regularly been in contention, and I feel confident that together we will challenge for the title this season. I’m also looking forward to racing in the UK, as it will be my first national championship competition since 2019!
“Having previously competed in British GT in both classes, I feel I have a good understanding of the championship and am well prepared to kick the season off at Silverstone.”
The 2026 British GT calendar features eight rounds in all. Rounds two and three are set for May 23 to 25 at Oulton Park, round four on June 20 and 21 at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, rounds five and six on August 15 and 16 at Snetterton Circuit, round seven on September 5 and 6 at Donington Park, and then round eight on September 26 and 27 at Brands Hatch.
