All Civil Court hearings will be conducted virtually beginning Sunday, the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry has announced.
The hearings will be held through the ministry’s official website, moj.gov.bh, powered by E-Key 2.0, allowing litigants to log in with their biometric data, without the need for a password.
As in regular court hearings, a judge will preside over the online proceedings, parties will be able to hear each other’s arguments in real time, and documents can be transferred and displayed on the platform.
According to the ministry, the move to a virtual format has been implemented with the support of the Supreme Judicial Council, and the hearings will meet all legal requirements.
