A teenage girl was buried alive because the doctors had pronounced her dead. However, her relatives heard her scream from within the tomb and broke it open. Only to find that it was too late and the girl had died again, after screaming for help for 24 hours.
The incident took place in La Entrada, western Honduras.
Footage from a Spanish news program Primer Impacto, shows 16-year-old Neysi Perez’s desperate family members break open the ‘dead’ girl’s tomb. They found that the glass viewing window had been smashed and the tips of the girl’s fingers were bruised.
However, the second time round, despite multiple tests and attempts to revive Perez, no sign of life was found and she was buried again in the same tomb.
According to reports, Perez, who was three months pregnant, got up to use the toilet at night and fell unconscious. It is believed that she may have had a panic attack after hearing gun fire.
Her parents tried to revive her but she started foaming at the mouth. Her religious parents had called a local priest believing that she may have been possessed by an evil spirit , but when she became lifeless, Perez was taken to a hospital where she was declared dead after three hours.
Perez was buried in the wedding dress she had recently used to get married.
A day after her funeral, her husband, who visited her grave thought he heard banging and screaming coming from the tomb. He confided in Perez’s mother who also thought she had heard similar sounds. The two convinced the family to break open the tomb.
