“The solution to the crisis with Qatar rests in the hands of Doha,” said Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir, according to SPA.
In a statement following his meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, he said that Qatar caused the crisis by its failure to stop supporting terrorism and interfering in the internal affairs of the countries of the region.
Guterres discussed with Al Jubeir recent developments in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Myanmar, and the close relations between the kingdom and the United Nations, which is a partner and supportive of its initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador Prince Khalid Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Permanent Representative to the UN Abdullah Al Mu'alimi and other officials.
