Chief executive officer of Oman’s national carrier Paul Gregorowitsch has tendered his resignation, the Times of Oman reported.
"The board of directors of Oman Air has accepted the resignation of the CEO, Mr Paul Gregorowitsch”, Oman Air announced, adding that Abdulaziz Al Raisi, the executive vice president of products and brand development, will serve as acting CEO.
Dutch Gregorowitsch was appointed as CEO in August 2014, joining Oman Air from Air Berlin.
He served as president and CEO of Amsterdam-based passenger and cargo airline Martinair Holland NV from 2007 to 2011.
“Gregorowitsch has also held a series of international management positions within Air France-KLM, rising to executive vice president commercial. He was part of the executive team that was responsible for amalgamating the passenger divisions of Air France and KLM, and was a member of the Alliance Steering Committee of Northwest Airlines and KLM,” said Times of Oman.
