MANAMA: The sacrifices and efforts of Bahrain’s police force have ensured the nation’s security and stability, said the Interior Minister yesterday.
In a speech marking Bahrain Police Day, he predicted a stable future for the country.
Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa was attending a parade at the Police Fort to mark the day.
“Within these national occasions, comes the celebration of Bahrain Police Day as a bright milestone in the national achievements,” he said.
“There is no doubt that security is a reality in Bahrain and the efforts and sacrifices of police personnel have resulted in stability and reinforcement of the state of law and institutions.
He said the police force, which will soon be completing its 100th anniversary, has succeeded in proving its excellence in dealing with challenges.
Its aim is to strengthen social security and protect national unity, the minister said.
National security, he said, is a mission that is achieved by those who have faith in God, are loyal to their King and dedicated to their nation.
Shaikh Rashid said he prayed for the souls of the martyrs of duty and for the protection of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
“The exercises as part of the parade showed the efficiency and discipline of the participating personnel and their extraordinary skills and accuracy that reflected their preparedness for the field and effectiveness in fulfilling duties.”
