Dubai: Police claimed to have solved the case of murder of a 26-year-old Filipina who was found dead in her flat in England Cluster of International City.
Lenlie Silpao Oliverio was murdered on February 19.
The father of the Filipina came to know about his 'missing' daughter after pictures were circulated on Facebook saying she had been killed.
Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Dubai Police Chief, said police investigation pointed to evidence that the Filipina was murdered by watchman of the apartment.
Al Mazeina claimed that police arrested the killer within 24 hours after the crime was reported.

The watchman’s fingerprints matched those found on the crime scene, police said, adding that he confessed to the crime.
According to initial investigation, the watchman had a verbal altercation with her on the same day she was found dead in her apartment, reported Gulf News.
Four Dubai Police team worked simultaneously to solve the murder mystery, said Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, who is currently the assistant commanding general for the criminal investigation.
Al Mansouri claimed that the suspect murdered the Filipina to take revenge.
According to watchman, he was angry over Filipina after she spilt water bucket while he was cleaning the floor at around 9am the same morning.
He told police that she had brawled which made him angry.
“The suspect confessed that he took a knife and went to her apartment at around 2pm on the pretext of fixing some problem in fire alarm.
“After entering the flat, he grabbed her and stabbed multiple times until he was sure she was dead,” Al Mansouri said.
In his confession, the suspect told police that he cleaned his clothes, closed the door and went to work.
The Filipina is survived by her parents and two children, aged 10 and 5.
Her body will be sent to Philippines only after Dubai Police files its final report.
