Doha: The Directorate of Meteorology warned of thundery rains and violent winds which will hit the Qatari coast today, due to thunderstorms.
The directorate forecast a cloudy weather with sporadic rains which may become thundery at times.
Northwesterly to northeasterly winds will range from 8 to 18 knots and may rise to 25 knots during thunderstorms and gusts.
Horizontal visibility will range from 4 to 8 kilometres and drop below the level of 3 kilometres during thundery rains.
Sea waves will rise 1 foot to three feet and reach 8 to 10 feet during thundery rains. Maximum average temperature is expected to reach 29 degrees Celsius.
