Bahrain are eager to overcome the disappointment of being eliminated from contention in Asian qualifying for the Fifa World Cup 2026, and will be hoping to make a winning finish to their campaign tomorrow.
The kingdom’s senior men’s football national team take on their counterparts from China, who are also already out of the running, in both teams’ concluding fixture in qualification Group C.
The two sides meet at Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium in the Chinese city of Chongqing in a match scheduled for a 2pm kick-off, Bahrain time.
“This game is a little bit difficult, we are disappointed because we are not qualified for the next round of the qualifiers, but this is still a qualification game for the World Cup,” Bahrain head coach Dragan Talajic said today during his pre-game Press conference.
"We will play the best we can to achieve a good result, and that means to try to win the game.
“As the coach, every single game means too much. Every single game for me and my players, we will try to win, to try to play nice football for the people to enjoy and watch a nice game, and I can promise we will give our best what we can.”
