The High Criminal Court in July last year found the three Bahrainis – aged 19, 21 and 28 – guilty of possessing and making explosive devices.
Policemen received information from secret sources about the weapons depot in an abandoned house in East Eker on April 19, 2015.
Officers found the explosives before a bomb was detonated remotely near a graveyard in East Eker.
None of the policemen was injured and the defendants were arrested with the help of confidential informants.
The defendants then lodged appeals against their convictions at the Supreme Criminal Appeals Court which was rejected.
Following a final appeal the Cassation Court yesterday reduced their sentences to three years behind bars.
