A SENIOR Bahraini medic has reassured the public that the country is well-equipped to battle the pandemic.
The kingdom has data, genetic testing capability and an integrated medical team, said National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (Covid-19) monitoring committee head Lieutenant Colonel Dr Manaf Al Qahtani.
“We now have several important tools to counter the virus,” he said on Twitter listing six of them.
“(They are) data and research on the virus and its mutations; the ability for genetic testing to identify mutants and detect positive cases, an integrated medical team with all specialities ready to fight the virus and all medicines and medical supplies.”
“Belief in God” was the sixth point on his list, said the BDF Hospital microbiologist.
