Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay made a high-profile appearance at Silverstone on Saturday as actor Ajith Kumar competed in the latest round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup.
The Chief Minister attended the event to support his long-time friend and was given the honour of waving the green flag to officially start the race.
Vijay greeted Kumar at the circuit before the race and was later seen watching the action from the stands alongside actress Trisha Krishnan.
Ajith Kumar’s racing team, Ajith RedAnt by Virage, finished 38th overall after completing the two-hour endurance race.
