TWO restaurants in the Capital and Northern Governorates were shut down on Saturday for violating mandatory precautionary measures listed under the Yellow Alert Level to combat the Coronavirus (Covid-19), the Health Ministry has announced.
Necessary measures were taken against them and they have been referred to legal authorities.
The ministry conducted inspection visits in co-ordination with Interior and Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministries along with Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority as part of endeavours aiming to ensure facilities adhere to the health requirements and procedures under the Covid-19 Yellow Alert Level.
Inspectors visited 248 restaurants, cafes, tourist facilities and hotels.
A total of 22 facilities were fined for non-compliance with precautionary measures.
