One of the kingdom’s beloved burger joints has issued a statement on social media urging people not to fall for fake delivery sites and their deals.
According to McDonald’s Bahrain, fraudulent websites were impersonating the fast food chain, providing fake offers such as 50 per cent off on meals as well as free delivery and requesting customers to include their bank details in the fake transactions.
“We’re working closely with local authorities to take down these sites and encourage customers not to share information or click on any suspicious links or fraudulent offer posts,” said a spokesperson in the statement.
The announcement also urged customers to only order through their app and site linked to the official brand.
