The British Embassy in Bahrain hoisted a Ukrainian flag at its premises last night. “Flying the Ukrainian flag at the British embassy in Bahrain today as we #StandWithUkraine,” said the mission, tagging its foreign development office, on its Instagram account.
"British Missions across the globe are flying the Ukrainian flag to show clearly where we stand," British Ambassador Roddy Drummond told the GDN.
"Russia’s assault on Ukraine is an unprovoked, premeditated attack against a sovereign democratic state.
"The Russian government has shown it is not serious about engaging in diplomacy.
"Russia will be held responsible for what happens in Ukraine.
"The UK has announced unprecedented packages of sanctions alongside our international partners.
"The UK stands with Ukraine, its people and its democracy."
