A popular restaurant in Adliya has been closed down after a veiled woman was allegedly barred from entering its premises.
Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) said it has launched an investigation into the incident, a video of which was circulated online.
Tourism outlets have been urged to comply with regulations and avoid enforcing policies that violate the laws in Bahrain.
The restaurant at the centre of the storm blamed a manager for the incident on its social media account saying he had been suspended as investigations continue.
