A POPULAR chocolate treat withdrawn from the UK market over fears of contamination is not being sold in Bahrain, it has been confirmed.
The Heath Ministry, in a statement last night, assured that Kinder Surprise available in Bahrain market is not of British/Belgian origin.
“Kinder Surprise, a type of chocolate withdrawn from the British market over suspicion of being contaminated with salmonella bacteria is not present in Bahrain,” the Ministry said in a statement last night.
It further added that the public health directorate followed up concerns being raised on social media and reassured that the product in the market (Kinder Surprise) is from a different country of origin.
Health officials also clarified that it has not received any complaints about the existing products. It also urged citizens and residents not to circulate unverified messages which, it said, could create panic in society.
