Bahrain's most popular beauty pageant will be held later this month, it was announced yesterday.
The Indian Club May Queen is one of the most prestigious events in the kingdom and has been held regularly for the past over three decades.
Titles up for grabs at the event include the Indian Club May Queen 2022, first runner-up, second runner-up, best smile, best hairdo, best walk and audience choice.
Prizes include cash, electronics, cosmetics and holiday packages.
The competition will include three rounds – casual wear, ethnic or national costume and formal wear.
The contest is open to unmarried women aged between 17 and 28 who are residents of Bahrain.
Women of all nationalities can enter the contest.
The finale, which will feature a Q&A session, will be held on May 27.
At the Press conference announcing the pageant were club president K M Cherian, convener Jyothi Menon and general secretary Satheesh Gopinathan.
Those interested in taking part can register at the club reception desk by May 15.
