TICKETS for Justin Bieber’s Justice World Tour concert at Al Dana Amphitheatre ‘completely sold out’ in less than 24 hours of going on sale.
Delighted arena executives claimed it proved the much-acclaimed live entertainment destination ‘rightly claimed its position as the region’s favourite venue’.
The breath-taking open-air venue is no stranger to regional firsts, having famously hosted Khalid back in December 2021 and Kings of Leon earlier this year for their only Middle Eastern date for three years.
“Staging and selling out world-class shows takes a huge commitment from a wide group of stakeholders,” said Shane Chalmers, CEO of Al Dana Amphitheatre.
“There are a huge number of factors involved, especially with an artist of Justin Bieber’s calibre.
“It’s exciting to see the different aspects of the tourism sector come together to create a compelling proposition that entices both international megastars and visitors alike.
“I’m certain this is the first of many sell-out concerts we will host at Al Dana Amphitheatre in the coming season!”
Fans of the Canadian star, who call themselves ‘Beliebers’ wasted no time in securing October 5 tickets on Friday morning, with approximately 5,000 purchases taking place within the first 60 minutes of going on sale and the remaining tickets completely sold out by 6am on the following day.
“We’re immensely proud that Al Dana Amphitheatre was the first venue in the Middle East to sell out,” Mr Chalmers added. This is testament to the public’s appetite for live entertainment and to our spectacular location. In the middle of the Sakhir desert, fans will have the chance to create unforgettable memories with a global icon.”
Justin Bieber’s record-setting Justice World Tour has sold more than 1.3 million tickets to date, for more than 125 shows in 30 countries and runs until March next year.
The Bahrain leg of the tour is the only open-air event in the Middle East with fans guaranteed a “completely unique experience”, say organisers.
Following his show in the kingdom the entertainer will perform in Dubai on both October 8 and 9, as a second date has been added to the tour.
Launched last November, the open-air venue in Sakhir which has hosted an impressive number of international shows since opening in 2021, has rapidly established itself as the ‘destination of choice in the region’ for global artists and fans alike.
Al Dana Amphitheatre was carved from rock and described as a ‘remarkable feat of engineering’ built approximately 50ft into the ground of the desert. It is located adjacent to Bahrain International Circuit and offers a wide array of indoor and outdoor event spaces.
