His Majesty and key Arab leaders have pledged to strengthen their partnership to foster Arab unity at a time when the region is facing multiple challenges.
They also decided to step up co-ordination against threats to Arab security and progress.
His Majesty was taking part in a consultative meeting that also included Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Abdullah of Jordan.
During the meeting, held at the Presidential Place in the coastal city of Al Alamein in Egypt, the leaders discussed deep-rooted relations between their countries and ways to bolster co-operation among them to further strengthen their ties.
They affirmed the depth of their strategic relations and stressed the importance of cementing them further to achieve common goals and aspirations.
The leaders also discussed ways of stepping up joint action, protect Arab peoples’ top interests and unify stances against all challenges.
The consultative meeting also focused on issues of mutual interest, including the latest regional and global developments.
The leaders stressed the importance of action to open wider horizons in vital fields with direct economic and developmental returns.
His Majesty later attended a lunch banquet hosted by the Egyptian President.
Praising the outcomes of the meeting, Parliament Speaker Fouzia Zainal pointed out the significance of boosting co-operation in light of current regional and international changes.
She affirmed keenness of the legislative branch in Bahrain on promoting parliamentary diplomacy to harmonise with the goals set by the leaders to boost pan-Arab work.
Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh noted the growing need to unify stances against obstacles that undermine efforts made by countries to continue the path of development and progress.
He praised Egypt’s efforts, led by President Al Sisi, to support steps taken by Arab countries to preserve stability and ensure further development for Arabs.
