His Majesty King Hamad, accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, offered heartfelt condolences to King Charles III on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
The King also offered condolences to the royal family, the government and people of Britain.
He wished the late queen mercy and forgiveness, and King Charles and Britain solace and fortitude, stressing Bahrain’s support to the UK leadership and people.
He paid homage to the late monarch, recalling her distinguished efforts in strengthening historical relations between the two royal families and bolstering bilateral relations and the deep-rooted Bahraini-British friendship ties, spanning over decades.
“Queen Elizabeth played a major role in building and developing bilateral relations, constantly keen on advancing and expanding ties between the two friendly countries,” His Majesty said.
“Bahrain’s leadership and people, who are deeply saddened by this great loss, will continue to remember with pride and honour the eternal and honourable stances of the late queen towards Bahrain,” he said, recalling longstanding friendship and solid ties binding the late monarch with Bahrain.
The King expressed pride in her charitable path in the service of her country, its development, the well-being of its people, and consolidation of relations with allies, which have enhanced the prestigious standing enjoyed by the UK in the international arena, as she led her country for decades with great wisdom.
“The whole world has lost a great leader, who will be immortalised in history, and a role model in wisdom, statesmanship, love, peace and tolerance,” he said.
“All the world recalls today the deep impact she made throughout her reign, through her noble deeds, historical stances and pioneering initiatives in the service of humanity,” he added.

The King hailed the queen’s contributions to strengthening security and peace, advancing sustainable development paths at the global level, and promoting the values and principles of coexistence and human tolerance, which earned her great prestige and appreciation and the respect of the world leaders and peoples,” he added.
He expressed pride in the depth of strategic relations and the close partnership with the UK, pointing to the long-standing history of co-ordination and fruitful co-operation in various fields.
His Majesty vowed to continue working with King Charles to support and develop these distinguished relations for the good and prosperity of the two countries. He wished King Charles good health, happiness, success and continued progress.
King Charles expressed thanks and gratitude to His Majesty for his condolences, sympathy and the noble sentiments that “reflect deep-rooted historical ties”, wishing him abundant health and happiness.
