The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain unveiled its latest pop-up concept – the Riviera – with a fresh French-Italian menu during a glamorous opening event.
The Riviera’s interior design includes acrylic panels to highlight the sweeping coastal views, alongside a simple yet elegant décor.
The venue has added touches of modernity with an elaborate centrepiece on each table while featuring an extended patio.
Chef de Cuisine Alexis Knecht, who specialises in Provençal cuisine, has focused on preserving the taste and texture of fresh ingredients while showcasing the beauty, glamour and rich culinary traditions of the French and Italian Riviera.
Dishes on the opening night included the famous Bouillabaisse fish soup, spaghetti alle vongole with clams, parsley and light chili, plus a tasty Tarte Tropézienne.
The Riviera is hosting a theme-soiree every Friday with an array of live performances with the restaurant open from Wednesdays to Saturdays from 5pm to 11pm.
The opening event was attended by VIPs, diplomats, media executives and the hotel management led by GM Bernard de Villele, sales, marketing and public relations executive assistant manager Jeremy Canivet and culinary and food and beverage director Yann Bernard Lejard. In addition, human resources director Rasha Ghoul and public relations and marketing associate director Carolina Campita were also in attendance.
