Some males living in an isolated village, Salinas, in the Dominican Republic are born looking like girls and only grow male genitalia at puberty.
These people are called ‘machihembras’ — the men who are born as women.
The group suffer from a genetic deformity that has stunned scientists.
They appear to be girls at birth, but develop male organs as they approach puberty.
