According to the district, many of the answer sheets were recovered, but about 55 of them were lost.
Rodriguez also said that they were working closely with the College Board, who administer the SATs, "to determine a remedy for the El Paso High School students whose SAT exams were lost in transit after they were securely submitted to UPS."
She also said that school counselors were handing out waivers to affected students to retake the exam free of cost.
In response to the incident, UPS(United Parcel Service) said it apologised to the affected students and the school.
