ITALIAN Ambassador Paola Amadei inaugurated the Italian Cuisine Week at Al Jazira Supermarket in Zinj yesterday in the presence of Al Jazira Group chairman Abdul Hussein Khalil Dawani, group general manager Ujjal Kumar Mukherjee, members of the management and staff.
“We have started a new co-operation with Al Jazira that we are very happy about. It’s a great opportunity to bring Italian food products from Italy and to introduce some new Italian products to Bahrain,” said Ms Amadei.
Al Jazira is a big importer of all kinds of products and buys quite a lot of items from Italy, said Mr Dawani.
“Things like cheeses, fruits, pastas, we import directly from Italy and the items that we import are unbeatable, as we have many varieties of Italian products and as such we have a lot of Italian customers,” he added.
The supermarket proudly displayed its full-range of Italian products during the event which have been specially discounted to mark the occasion.
The Italian Cuisine Week continues until Sunday.
