A DRUG gangster saga spanning the years between 1968 and 1980 comes to the screen at the Bahrain Cinema Club, Juffair tonight from 7pm.
Birds of Passage revolves around the origins of the Colombian drug trade as seen through eyes of an indigenous Wayuu family that becomes involved in the booming business of selling marijuana to American youth in the 1970s.
The film is directed by Cristina Gallego and Ciro Guerra, and stars Carmiña Martínez, José Acosta and Natalia Reyes.
It was nominated for the Best Film Award and won the Best Film – Honourable Mention at the London Film Festival and was nominated for the Variety Piazza Grande Award at Locarno Film Festival.
