Earlier, the first two periods of the game saw a see-saw battle between the two teams, with Al Sadd leading 21-20 at the end of the first quarter before Manama staged a comeback to lead 44-41 at half-time.
After the third quarter had ended with Manama leading by five points at 65-60, Al Sadd rallied hard in the last quarter to add 26 points to Manama’s 21 and tie the game at 86-86 just before the buzzer went off.
Having won two games out of three so far in the WASL’s inaugural season, Manama will take on Al Nasr Riyadh in the return encounter between the two teams in Bahrain on January 23.
