His Majesty King Hamad has pledged to continue development efforts to achieve goals and further Bahrain’s standing among developed nations and cater to citizens’ aspirations.
He praised citizens’ devotion in serving the nation, affirming that they will always be the ultimate goal of national development and its cornerstone.
He paid tribute to Bahrainis who rallied 22 years ago to endorse the National Action Charter by a sweeping majority.
“The covenant will always remain a beacon that guides our path to achieve further development and support democracy,” he pledged.
The King made the remarks as he received yesterday, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam and Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh, who expressed congratulations on the 22nd milestone.
Supreme Judicial Council deputy chairman, Court of Cassation president Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa and Constitutional Court president Abdulla Al Buainain also congratulated the King at Sakhir Palace.
His Majesty praised legislative efforts to contribute to national development and commended the role of the judiciary in bolstering the principles of justice and equality and protecting rights and liberties.
